Hello everyone! My name is Hasumi. I have recently joined the team as an international sales liaison. However, my real passion is digging up real stories from the field and learning about who the people are behind the high-quality produce that Mikuniya manufactures.

Mikuniya, as a third-generation nori (dried seaweed) manufacturing company, prides itself in using the best of the best in quality of seaweed. It has taken the mantle of luxury nori manufacturer and is loved and used by numerous chefs, and households alike. But what makes Mikuniya special? What goes behind the scenes in buying and developing the best nori produced in Japan? And what are the biggest challenges and hopes in the light of climate change affecting this fragile industry?
